Hi! I'm Annie

I’m a single mother, Canadian lawyer, educator — and a woman who’s rebuilt her life after divorce. Now, I’m on a mission to close the gender wealth gap by helping other women do the same.

The financial system was built by men, for men — and it shows. Divorce often exposes how much we were left out of the financial conversation, how often we deferred control, and how little support exists when you're suddenly responsible for it all.

We’re taught that money talk is rude. That asking questions is embarrassing. That we should just trust the process — even when the process was never built with us in mind.

But silence keeps us stuck. If we don’t talk about money, we can’t learn about it. If we don’t learn, we can’t grow.

I created Unbroke to change that. To give women — especially those navigating divorce or starting over — the tools, language, and confidence to take control of their finances and rebuild on their own terms.

How it started...

Like a lot of women, I didn’t plan on starting over — but life had other ideas.

When I left my marriage, I was a lawyer, a mother, and someone who was supposed to “have it together.” But behind the scenes, I was overwhelmed by the financial fallout. Even with my legal background, untangling our finances, rebuilding my budget, and making long-term plans felt like walking through fog. What I needed wasn’t just a spreadsheet — I needed someone who got it. Someone who understood the emotional chaos that comes with financial change. Someone who could meet me where I was, without judgment or jargon.

That person didn’t exist — so I became her. I created Unbroke to give women the support I wish I’d had: clear, calm, shame-free help with money, especially after divorce or major transitions. Now, I help women rebuild — not just their budgets, but their confidence, their sense of control, and their next chapter.

VALUES

Radical Clarity

I believe financial knowledge shouldn’t be gatekept or hidden behind jargon. I explain things clearly — and always with real-life context.

Shame-free Support

Money is emotional. I create space for women to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow — without guilt or judgment.

Empowerment Through Education

I don’t just tell you what to do — I teach you how to think differently about money so you can feel confident long after we work together.

Equity and Inclusion

I know the financial system wasn’t built for everyone — especially not for women, single moms, or marginalized communities. I'm committed to changing that.
